ILR
Indefinite Leave to Remain - ILR
By Children
Children who were born in the UK and have lived here continuously for at least 7 years may apply immediately for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) based on private life. If not born here, they may still qualify if they entered as a child and meet the visa history and residence conditions.

Children or young adults can apply for ILR after 5 continuous years in the UK on a relevant private life visa. You must have entered as a child and held your current visa based on private life, either as a minor or between ages 18–24 (having spent half your life in the UK).

Skilled Worker Visa
For those offered a skilled job by a UK-approved employer with a Certificate of Sponsorship. The role must meet skill thresholds and salary minimums, including recent reforms raising the standard to graduate-level (RQF 6) and a higher salary threshold from £38,700 to £41,700, effective July 2025.

Post Study Work Visa - PSW
Grads from UK universities can work or look for work here for 2 years (or 3 years for PhDs) with this unsponsored visa. No job offer is required. You can’t extend or switch from PSW, but it serves as a major stepping stone to skilled routes.
